Our Staff

All our staff hold nationally recognised medical qualifications, and most have real-world experience within the pre-hospital or in-hospital emergency care environment.

All staff follow clinically proven protocols and guidelines, developed under the guidance of our Medical Director, with input from SA Department of Health. First Care Medical holds the appropriate Schedule 4 drug licensing to enable us to provide the highest quality of medical intervention.

A breakdown of our general staff training and experience is below.

Utilised when an event is large enough to require an Event Operations Centre for liaison between event management, security, police and medical services.

First Responder – Senior First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation & Defibrillation. First responders are generally also paramedic, nursing or medical students undertaking tertiary education with a university in South Australia.

Nurse – Enrolled or Registered Nurse, with experience and/or qualifications in emergency and Advanced Life Support.

For larger events, First Care Medical sometimes enlists the assistance of volunteer first aid organisations to ensure an appropriate level of Basic Life Support staffing. These volunteers are governed by their own organisations training and education, however First Care Medical establishes a clear Memorandum of Understanding to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.

First Care Medical may also enlist the local statutory ambulance service on standby, to ensure a rapid transport of critical patients should the need arise.
